    Bio, Socials, and Contact

Jammaster JM is a Chicago-born DJ who has lived in Oakland, LA, and now Mexico. Deeply influenced by the Bronx sound that birthed hip hop, JM is a proud member of The Bronx Boys (TBB).

JM started off as a battle DJ, but his sound is rooted in funk, soul, hip hop, house, and raw breaks. He began spinning in 1994 on Chicago’s far north side and made early noise with two appearances on Rap City after winning FAMU’s Battle of the DJs in 2001. Through the 2000s, JM produced tracks for DJ Ambideckstriks and Rich Malone, and helped form the Break Beat Bullies—a crew dedicated to park jam energy and original breaks.

Now based in Tulum, JM is focused on curating mixes, re-edits, and tools for dancers, DJs, and heads who still believe in culture over clout. His sets honor 50 years of party-rocking tradition—cut live on the same Technics 1200s he bought in '95.
